Ryan Eagleson Obituary

Ryan Jan Eagleson, 53, of Bedford, passed away suddenly at his home on April 9, 2022. He was born on December 17, 1968 in Bedford; son of Vicky (Ferry) Defibaugh and Robert J. Eagleson, who both survive.

Ryan was formerly married to Amy L. (Growden) Lohr and leaves behind their son, Jacob R. Eagleson of Bedford; Ryan's significant other, Laura Delozier and her son Samuel; his granddaughter, Layla, and grandson, Liam; his step-mother, Pam Eagleson; brother, Mathew Eagleson; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and his dog, Widdles, that he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Jamie Lynn Eagleson; stepfather, Gary L. Defibaugh of Bedford; his grandparents, T. Richard and Helen J. Ferry of New Enterprise and Cliff and Marcella Eagleson of Bedford; and his dog, Beasley, whom all greeted him upon his arrival in Heaven.

Ryan was a veteran of the United States Air Force and also the United States Army.  He was a borough Police officer for Everett and after a short time with the Pennsylvania State Police, he decided that career was not what he was cut out for, but spent the rest of his life regretting that decision.

He drove truck throughout the United States, relocating in Florida and later Arizona.  He loved seeing the historic sites the states had to offer and the majestic views that allowed him to capture the beautiful pictures that he shared with his many friends and family. Ryan loved talking history to anyone and could argue with the best on his theories on world events.

He settled back in Bedford several years ago and was glad to be home. Ryan had a big heart and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.  He loved the outdoors and being at the family camp, roaming the mountain in Texas Corner. He will be greatly missed by all that loved him.

At his request, there will be no visitation or funeral services, nor donations to any charity.
