Ruth A. (Burket) Henry Clark, 90, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of New Enterprise, passed away on February 17, 2024 at Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg. She was born on July 14, 1933 in Martinsburg; daughter of the late Mahlon and Elizabeth (Hoover) Burket. Ruth was previously married to Jack Henry. On July 6, 1983 she married George L. “Dutch” Clark; he preceded her in death on January 26, 2008.
Ruth was a graduate of Morrisons Cove High School and member of the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed quilting and sewing, canning and baking, gardening, and preparing meals for family gatherings. Ruth was a Past-President of the Southern Cove Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, George; daughter, Bonnie Henry-Bleicher; granddaughter, Larissa Zimmerman; and siblings, Mary Gold and Virgil and Robert Burket.
Surviving is daughter, Beverly O’Neal (Bob); son, Victor Henry (Joyce); son, Mahlon Henry (Jodie); step-son, Robert Clark, Sr. (Annabelle); step-daughter, Debbie Hoover (Glenn); step-daughter, Connie Guyer; step-son, William Clark; step-daughter, Dixie Miller; step-son, Donald Clark (Lynda); step-daughter, Annetta Rice; grandchildren, Brooke Meadows, Bethany Wilson, Bronze O’Neal, Krista Boyd, Melissa Griekspoor, Lindsay Suter, Lennae Trotter, Logan Zimmerman, and Wade Henry; step-grandchildren, Georgia Hetrick, Gregory Hetrick, Robert Clark, Jr., Kevin Clark, Angie Phipps, Melissa Norris, Chelsey Hoover, Timothy Guyer, Dawn Detwiler, Tammy Detwiler, Amy Ramsey, Kim McDevitt, Hope Baros, Lisa Allison, Stacy Reeves, Jeffery Clark, and Joshua Clark; as well as 17 great-grandchildren and 23 step-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 9:00AM until the 11:00AM Funeral Service at the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren; Pastor Paul Snyder, officiating. Interment will be in New Enterprise Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions in Ruth’s name can be made to the Southern Cove Volunteer Fire Company or the Bedford County Humane Society.
