Robert B. Reed, 56, Woodbury, died unexpectedly on Wednesday after a brief illness. He was born in Bedford, son of the late William A. and Marion J. (Lutchka) Reed.
Surviving are two sisters: Andrea Lauer of Hollidaysburg and Melinda Lee of Pottstown; a brother, Michael Reed of New Paris; and his nephew and nieces that he loved greatly: Michael, Megan, Sydney, Lexie, Meredith, and Elaina.
Rob was a 1982 graduate of Northern Bedford High School and also from California University of PA and St. Francis University, where he received business degrees. He worked for Center for Community Action in Bedford.
Rob was a coach for the Northern Bedford Panthers football, Jr. High basketball, and Jr. High baseball. He was part of the football program for 10 years. He loved Northern Bedford sports and taught those young men about perspective and not to get overly excited about things.
He was an avid Penn State football fan and loved all sports. Rob had a great group of friends and was a loyal friend to all.
Private burial will take place at Bedford Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date, to be announced.
