Norman Don Snyder Obituary

Norman Don Snyder, 90, of Martinsburg, formerly of New Enterprise, passed away on December 10, 2022 at Hillview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Altoona. He was born on May 2, 1932 in New Enterprise; son of the late Norman Baker and Kathryn R. (Gates) Snyder.

Don was a graduate of Replogle High School and worked for New Enterprise Stone & Lime Company. He was a Truck Driver for many years and retired as Assistant Manager in the Parts Department.  

Don served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was deployed in Germany as an aircraft mechanic.

Don was a member of the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren, but attended the Woodbury Church of the Brethren for many years. He enjoyed golf, auto racing, sports, Penn State Football and was involved with the Loysburg Lions Club and the Bedford Elks.

Don was preceded in death by a son, Kirk Snyder and a sister, Lucille Stover.

Surviving is daughter, Kim Reese (Brad) of Bedford; son, Brad Snyder of Chest Springs, PA; special friend of 20 years, Rosemary Gable; as well as 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 10:00AM until the 11:00AM funeral service at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren; Pastor David Ulm will be officiating. Interment will be in New Enterprise Cemetery.
