Joyce Irene (Stonerook) Bush

     Joyce Irene (Stonerook) Bush, 79, of Altoona, passed away on June 10, 2023 at her home. She was born on April 30, 1944 in Roaring Spring; daughter of the late Richard L. and Nellie Rae (Conner) Stonerook. On April 6, 1963 in Alabama, she was united in marriage to Kenneth H. Bush, Jr.; together, they recently celebrated their 60th anniversary.

     Joyce attended Northern Bedford and Hollidaysburg High Schools and was a Navy Wife for 22 years. She worked as a CNA and cashier, in manufacturing, and was Lutheran in faith. Joyce enjoyed reading, crosswords, visiting with grandchildren, and family reunions.

     She was preceded in death by siblings Ken Stonerook, Sr., Glenna Dillen, Deb Weber, and Janet Detwiler. Surviving is husband, Kenneth H. Bush, Jr.; daughter, April Reitnauer (Dale) of Fleetwood, PA; daughter, Bobbi Wood (Allen) of Panama City Beach, FL; daughter, Sheena Evans (Tom) of Duncansville, PA; son, Kenneth Bush, III (Dawn) of Boswell, PA; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Nancy Miller, Richard Stonerook, Carol Zimmerman, David Stonerook, Susan Stonerook, and Paula Stonerook.

     A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 beginning at 12:00PM noon at the Stone Funeral Home in Woodbury; Rev. Janet Sell will be officiating. The Committal Service and Interment will be in Replogle Cemetery, Woodbury.

     If so desired, memorial contributions in Joyce’s name can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
