Earl Donald Swope, Jr.

     Earl Donald Swope, Jr., 67, of Martinsburg, passed away on March 16, 2024 at his home. He was born on April 9, 1956 in Roaring Spring; son of the late Earl Donald Sr. and Peggy (Albright) Swope.

     Earl was a graduate of Northern Bedford High School Class of 1975. He worked as a crane operator for New Enterprise Stone & Lime Company. Earl enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Saxton Sportsmen Association. He enjoyed tinkering with and driving classic cars.

     Earl was preceded in death by his long-term companion, Sharon Shad. Surviving is sister, Karen Walter (Luke); brother, Arthur Swope (Linda); brother, Raymond Swope (Pamela); sister, Beverly Swope; as well as step-children, Michelle, Michael, and Mary.

     Friends will be received on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 10:00AM until the 11:00AM Funeral Service at the Stone Funeral Home in Woodbury; Pastor Eric Poteat officiating. Interment will be in Diehl’s Crossroads Cemetery.

     If so desired, Memorial Contribution in Earl’s name may be made to Stone Funeral Home to help the family with final funeral expenses.
