Donald Fetter Obituary

Donald W. Fetter, 79, of Frosty Hollow, formerly of Loysburg, passed away on October 25, 2021 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. He was born on November 22, 1941 in Roaring Spring; son of the late John E. Fetter and L. Romaine Fetter-Shaw. On December 13, 1963 in Yellow Creek, he was united in marriage to Eleanor A. (Hale) Fetter who survives. Donald worked for the family wholesale egg distribution in Woodbury until becoming a finishing carpenter. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and working outside. Donald was preceded in death by 2 infant children; brother-in-law John Eichelberger; and step-father Kenneth Shaw. Surviving is his wife, Eleanor; son George W. Fetter; sister Joyce Wyles (Jay); sister Kay Gorsuch (Bill); sister Jean Eichelberger (Dale); and sister-in-law Nancy Porta. At request of the deceased, services will be held privately. Inurnment will be in the Bedford Forge United Methodist Church Cemetery. If so desired, Memorial Contributions in Donald’s name can be made to the Friendship Fire Company.
