Betty L. (Smith) Imler, 82, of Frosty Hollow, Roaring Spring, passed away on June 30, 2023 at home. She was born on October 21, 1940 in Sulphur Springs; daughter of the late Sheldon and Sarah (Casteel) Smith. On June 8, 1963, in Curryville, she was united in marriage to John S. “Pete” Imler.
Betty was a graduate of Bean Hill School and attended the Bethel Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed singing, gardening, bird watching, and loved time spent with her family and dog, Heidi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Pete” on January 1, 2017; children, Dave and Sandy in 1998; grandson, Steven Bush in 2000; and brothers, Jim, Gene, and Clyde. Surviving is daughter, Angie High (Brad) of Roaring Spring; daughter, Susie Fink (Mike) of Duncansville; grandchildren, Jenni Trombetto (Rob) of Duncansville, Jared High (Meagan) of Martinsburg, Ashley Feathers (Brian) of Woodbury, Amanda Cole (Zack) of Trafford, and Kyle Fink of Duncansville; great-grandchildren, Aden, Evan and Bella Trombetto, Layla Feathers, Eliott and Sofia Cole, and Emerie Robinson; and siblings, Dot, Donna, Bill, and Tom.
Friends will be received on Monday, July 3, 2023 from 6:00-8:00PM at the Stone Funeral Home in Woodbury. A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 11:00AM at the Bethel Church of the Brethren, 1164 Plank Road, Everett; Tom Smith will be officiating. Interment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery.
